The I/O Session Prints were a collaborative effort between the artists. Each brought a catalog of materials ranging from archive images, to AI generated faces. Each print was composed and printed with feedback from both Kathryn and Kacey.
In computing, “I/O” means input/output. This designation represents an exchange between two sources of information, such as a program and a user or a computer and a network. For this project, the artists acted as each other’s I/O, developing works through connection.
